DREAM Fundraiser is the Best Ever
The "Where DREAMs Take Flight" Fundraiser on Saturday, April 9th was a huge success. Over 420 attendees helped raise $52,000 to support enrichment programs for Twin Rivers' youth for the 2011-2012 school year. The DREAM board thanks all the schools, individuals and district departments that donated items for our silent and live auction. Our student performers from Grant Union High and Foothill High School were amazing and inspirational. We look forward to seeing you at our 2012 fundraiser on Saturday, March 24th.
Thank you DREAM Donors!
Over the last three school years, your donations have allowed us to give over $251,331 back to our schools in teacher mini-grants, $10,000 for holiday charity programs and $40,000 to support our College Bound Scholarship program for a total of $301,331. The DREAM board gives 95% of all funds raised back to our schools to support enrichment programs that make a difference in the lives of thousands of students each year. DREAM has no large individual donors. 60% of our annual budget comes from people making donations of less than $100 each year. If every employee gave $15 per month, our schools would receive nearly $300,000 each year to support programs in the arts, athletics, outdoor education and field trips. If you're one of our amazing DREAMers, thank you! If not, please consider this tax-deductible donation. Call Kate at 566-1759 for more information.
Our Students are College Bound!
The second annual College Bound Shopping spree is rapidly approaching. Thanks to grants from Target, The Kelley Foundation and IVS computers, 26 of our graduates will receive shopping sprees to purchase much needed school and dorm supplies. We also sent our high school seniors on trips to local universities and to American River College to complete their registration during the 2009 – 2010 school year. Project DREAM has also funded 89 projects in 2009-2010 school year.

You can make the difference in the life of a student
Research has shown that a caring adult can make the difference in the life of a child. DREAM is looking for adults to mentor or tutor students for the 2009-2010 school year. We are also looking for volunteer coaches for our elementary – junior high athletic programs. All volunteers need to pass a background check and participate in a volunteer training. Interested?
